Title: Program Director
Pay: $70,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience

ABOUT THE POSITION:
imadi is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Program Director to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all stakeholder programming. This includes year-round initiatives, our transformative summer camp, hospital programming, and fundraising events. The Program Director will be highly creative, a skilled organizer, and a passionate advocate for children with complex medical needs and their families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Make Magic.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate imadi’s programs for families and volunteers, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Plan, organize, and oversee imadi’s flagship summer camp, providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for campers with life-changing medical conditions.
- Lead hospital programming to deliver meaningful activities for inpatient clients.
- Interface with other organizations and community stakeholders, including arranging Bnei Mitzvah projects, building and maintaining partnerships, participating in school community service fairs, and organizing toy drives.
Proper Wand Technique Includes:
- Event Planning: Oversee logistics, staffing, and budgeting for events, ensuring they run smoothly and achieve desired outcomes.
- Volunteer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with high school and community volunteers, encouraging long-term commitment and leadership development.
- Family Support: Work closely with families to understand their unique needs and tailor programming to provide meaningful support.
- Finance: Prepare and manage program budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Ambassadorship: Represent imadi at community events, networking opportunities, and in partnerships with hospitals and other organizations.
- Leadership:
- Serve as the direct supervisor for the coordinator of imadi’s Big Brother program, providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation and growth.
- Oversee and provide leadership for the future Director of Volunteer Experience once hired, ensuring a seamless volunteer engagement strategy across all programs.

Position Overview:
The Director of Volunteer Experience will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive volunteer program that encompasses recruitment, training, engagement, and retention. This role will create an intentional arc of the volunteer journey, ensuring that every stage—from onboarding to alumni status—is enriching, educational, and mission-driven. The ideal candidate will be passionate about youth development, skilled in curriculum design, and dedicated to fostering leadership, growth, and community among our high school volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Volunteer Recruitment: Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to attract diverse high school volunteers from Maryland and D.C.
- Training & Development: Design and implement a comprehensive training curriculum that includes orientation, skill-building workshops, and leadership development.
- Ongoing Engagement: Create and oversee meaningful programs, including educational sessions, mission-driven activities, and fun community-building events.
- Program Design: Develop an overarching volunteer experience framework that aligns with Imadi’s mission, values, and goals, incorporating a blend of service, education, and social impact.
- Curriculum Development: Design curriculum-based learning sessions, integrating themes related to pediatric healthcare, community service, and personal growth.
- Volunteer Support: Provide guidance and support to volunteers, fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment.
- Metrics & Evaluation: Establish methods for tracking volunteer progress, satisfaction, and impact, using data to continuously improve the volunteer experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with imadi staff, school liaisons, and community partners to enhance volunteer opportunities and support organizational initiatives.
