Camp Master Chef - Summer 2026

Dates: July 3rd – July 28th

Time Commitment: Duration of camp (including training, set up, and pre-camp preparation)

Salary: This role offers a modest stipend rather than a competitive salary. We are looking for someone who is excited by hands-on work, meaningful relationships, and being part of a purpose-driven summer experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION: imadi is seeking a Head Chef for our summer camp! Eagle Point is a unique residential summer camp serving children with complex medical needs. Unlike traditional camps with large industrial kitchens, our camp operates out of a home-style kitchen setting. Meals are prepared in a warm, residential environment that mirrors a family home rather than a commercial dining hall. We are seeking a Head Chef who is comfortable cooking in this type of setting and who values creating nourishing, comforting meals that feel homemade and familiar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and serve three nutritious meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for approximately 35 people
  • Prepare snacks throughout the day to support campers’ energy and dietary needs
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to the highest standards of kashrut
  • Maintain timely and organized meal service so food is ready as scheduled
  • Plan and execute menus that are nourishing, creative, and age-appropriate
  • Incorporate fun themes or special touches that make mealtimes engaging and enjoyable
  • Manage food ordering, inventory, and proper storage
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and medical needs with care and attention
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with camp leadership to support daily programming and special events

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We are looking for someone who is creative, warm, and adaptable – someone who genuinely enjoys nurturing others through food and hospitality. The ideal candidate brings imagination into the kitchen, thinking beyond the basics to create fun themes, playful touches, and meals that feel comforting and special. They are flexible, take feedback well, and can think on their feet in a dynamic camp environment. A positive, easygoing presence is essential – someone who enjoys being around people, brings good energy into the space, and helps make mealtime a welcoming, joyful experience for campers and staff alike.

To Apply: Qualified candidates are encouraged to contact Tzvi Haber (Executive Director) at thaber@imadi.org. Please include your resume for consideration.

Case Manager (full-time)

Title: Case Manager – Washington, D.C. & Greater Washington Area

Compensation: $55,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience
Employment Type: full-time; a flexible role combining in-person and remote work.
Benefits: 401(k) with employer matching, health insurance, paid holidays and parental leave , professional development investment

about imadi
imadi provides comprehensive support to families navigating life-changing pediatric health diagnoses.

why this role matters
Families facing pediatric illness are navigating one of the most difficult chapters of their lives. The Case Manager is often the person who stands beside them through it all – helping them think clearly in moments of crisis, connecting them to resources they didn’t know existed, and ensuring they never feel alone in the process. This role is deeply relational and highly dynamic.

This is not a traditional desk job. One day might involve sitting with a parent who needs guidance navigating a new diagnosis; another might involve coordinating services, meeting with community partners, or helping a family access a critical resource. The Case Manager will serve as the primary support professional for approximately 50 families across the Washington, D.C. and Greater Washington region, ensuring each family receives thoughtful, consistent, and personalized support.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to do deeply meaningful work while helping build a stronger support network for families across the Washington, D.C. region.

who thrives at imadi

We are looking for a hard worker who lives our values:

(1) Excellence: You uphold the highest standards of care, professionalism, and accountability in every aspect of your work. You conduct thoughtful, comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized support plans tailored to each family’s medical, emotional, and practical needs. You maintain clear and accurate documentation of client interactions and services, ensuring continuity of care and organizational excellence. In every interaction—with families, volunteers, and partners—you represent imadi with warmth, integrity, and professionalism.
(2) Creativity: You approach each family’s situation with flexibility, empathy, and innovative thinking, recognizing that no two journeys are the same. Rather than simply following a script, you think expansively about what case management could be— and then work to make it happen. You identify creative, practical solutions that help families navigate the complex challenges associated with a child’s medical condition. By connecting families to both traditional and nontraditional resources, you help strengthen their network of support and open doors to possibilities they may not have known existed.
(3) Empowerment: You equip families with the tools, information, and confidence they need to navigate their journey with clarity and strength. Through thoughtful case management and steady advocacy, you help families understand their options, access the right resources, and make informed decisions that support their child and the well-being of the entire family.
(4) Community: You ensure that every family feels supported and seen throughout their experience, approaching each relationship with empathy, consistency, and care. You build meaningful, trusting connections with families through regular engagement and thoughtful follow-up, while also strengthening the broader network of support around them. By cultivating relationships with schools, community organizations, and healthcare providers, you help create pathways to resources and collaboration. Through these efforts, you play a key role in expanding imadi’s presence, partnerships, and impact throughout the D.C. and Greater Washington region.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

A master’s degree is preferred, but not required, and we’re flexible on the discipline – we’re ultimately looking for someone who is compassionate, resourceful, hardworking, and highly proactive.
